Harlequins Orienteering Club (HOC) invite you to the 2024 British Mixed Sprint Relay ChampsOld Joe at the University of Birmingham on the evening of Saturday 22 June. First starts will be at 5pm.

Map extractThe University was established in 1900 and has gone through several phases of expansion and redevelopment since. The campus has an intricate network of buildings with changes of level to challenge you. Notable landmarks include the world's highest freestanding clock tower and the new Green Heart open space.

This event will be open to international and solo club competitors, who may form mixed club teams.

Here is a link to a video of last year's event at Brunel University which will give you an idea of the atmosphere if you haven't been to a sprint relay before.

Then on Sunday 23 June our neighbouring club Octavian Droobers (OD) will be holding the British Individual Sprint Champs at the University of Warwick.

The following courses will be available:

  1. Open (Elite) – teams of 4, at least two of whom must be female with women running the first and last legs. TD5.
  2. Veteran (40+) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter.
  3. Super Veteran (55+) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter.
  4. Ultra Veteran (65+) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter.
  5. Junior (16-) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter.
  6. Young Juniors (12-) - 3 legs, free running order, with teams consisting of 3 people, of which at least one must be female. TD2. Ungaffled.
  7. Ad Hoc – teams of 3, at least one of whom must be female. TD5. Middle leg shorter. Not a championship class.
